THE DARKER SIDE

After not painting seriously for ten years while the girls were small and moving to New Zealand I began to tune into my art once more. There was a lot of deepness there and a longing to find my voice again.

Wishing to break away from the embroideries but still being drawn to historical influences. The colours are heavy but the dreams are peeking through.

Some of the work in this section relates to my mother’s journey with breast cancer.
